Singer Prince dies at home in Minnesota at 57

Singer Prince has died at his home in Minnesota at the age of 57, his publicist has said.

Prince became a global superstar in the 1980s, with albums such as 1999, Purple Rain and Sign O’ the Times.

He sold more than 100 million records during his career.

Prince was a prolific musician with nearly 40 years in the record industry.

He first found fame in 1978 and went on to sell more than a hundred million records.
